We have been on the front lines of this battle regarding the contents of our state’s curriculum.  What passes here will affect the nation.  Pray fervently this week as the State Board of Education takes their vote on Friday, March 12.  Go to http://www.freemarket.org/ for information and updates.

This is an important time-sensitive message for those who live in or near El Paso, Waco or Beaumont.

Someone has said that we have a clear gospel for the “down-and-outer”,
but there seems to be no one with a gospel for the “up-and-outer”.

Well, there is!

presentation of the saving gospel of Christ to them in

We need your prayers. Here is an edited Prayer Guide provided by Charlotte Merschbrock of Louisiana:

We believe it is a priority that we all begin to focus with concerted prayer for our upcoming trip to Israel! Please let the first fruits of your prayer each day be for the nation of Israel and for the peace of Jerusalem. As we sow this as the first fruits of our prayer, God will bless the remainder of our concerns.

Here is a guide to help you, but please be led by the Holy Spirit—the main goal is that we all join together in prayer!

Prayer Guide:

1. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. (Ps. 122:6-7) Speak peace to the borders of Israel and ask the Lord to bless and protect them. Ask the Lord to be a wall of fire around Jerusalem and the glory in her midst. (Zech. 2:4-5)

2. As you speak His peace over Israel, pray against and bind any strategies of the enemy such as unrest, uprisings, terrorism, or violence. Pray that our time there will not be hindered or thwarted in any way.

3. Each of our states is planning to take gifts from our states stating our support for the nation of Israel.

4. Pray for our appointment with a Knesset member. Pray for favor and for the Lord to arrange the time, the venue, and every detail of our meeting with him.

5. Pray for the release of the financial resources needed by every person on the trip. Airport Taxes have been rising due to fuel costs. Please pray for the Lord’s intervention, for a ceiling on these charges, and for them to even drop by the time of our departure.

6. Pray concerning our flights and every connection—no delays, cancellations, mechanical difficulties, or inclement weather. Pray also that everyone’s luggage will arrive with them.

7. Pray for good weather in Israel that is conducive to the varied planned activities.

8. Pray for team unity—to be of one heart and one mind with the same purpose and focus.

9. Pray for divine connections and appointments.

10. Pray for health and protection over every person on the trip and for their families.

11. Ask the Lord for angelic ministry and protection throughout our trip.

12. Pray for each traveler to be diligent and efficient in their preparation and packing—pray that everyone will remember to bring tickets, passports, medications, etc.

13. Ask the Lord for traveling mercy—”The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore.” (Ps. 121:8)

14. Pray for the leaders, particularly Tom Schlueter from Texas, who will be making decisions and overseeing the team. (Support leadership: Billy Joe & Ruthie Young from MS; Roger & Charlotte Merschbrock from LA)

15. Pray for a smooth flow of all the logistical details of this trip.

16. Pray for our hearts to be prepared to be a blessing to God’s covenant people, Israel.

Here is the vision again for our “covenant prayer journey”: We are securing one of the most important covenant relationships we have, which is with the nation of Israel. We are declaring that we are rooted in covenant with God’s heart for the Jewish people and we are recognizing Israel’s role in the earth; a role of blessing. In order to strengthen the Lord’s covenant promises with us, we are intentionally blessing the nation of Israel by coming alongside them to re-confirm our covenant with them.

Primary Prayer Concern: In preparing for this spiritually significant assignment, we must be alert to any attempts of the enemy to diminish our authority by challenging us in the area of “covenant”. We must be willing to submit to the Lord in all areas related to covenant issues. As we are challenged in any area of covenant relationship—husband/wife; parent/child; friends; co-workers in the Kingdom; or even our covenant relationship with God, let us arise and declare that His Covenant rules over our lives. As we allow Him to have authority in these areas, then we will have authority when we stand on the land in Israel. Otherwise it will be a mockery and we will have limited affect for the Kingdom. This is not talking about perfection, only about obedience to the Lord when we have opportunity to choose!

From Del Rio to Brownsville, Mexico’s port cities along the US/Mexico border are under siege.  Here is a rough timeline:

02.19.10  Gun battle across from Laredo in Nuevo Laredo, MX between Los Zetas and the Gulf Cartel.  These 2 were aligned but are in the process of splitting.   Another shoot-out, reportedly between the Mexican military and a branch of Los Zetas, continued through Nuevo Laredo.

02.20.10  Reports of shoot-outs across from McAllen in Reynosa, MX.

02.22.10  Gun battle between 2 cartels across from McAllen in Reynosa .

02.22.10  Across from Roma, a convoy of military vehicles moved into the town of Miguel Aleman, MX in preparation for an attempted take-over of the government which was expected that night or the following day.

02.23.10  Unconfirmed reports from Miguel Aleman, MX that the government take-over has happened.  Gun fighting is currently taking place, including the use of grenade launchers.  So many family members of the military and police of Miguel Aleman were fleeing to the US that all 3 lanes of the little bridge were opened to facilitate those seeking REFUGE.  By today (23rd) my sources indicated US law enforcement officials were sent to the bridge to protect against the spillover of violence.

02.23.10  There is an expected gun battle tonight or tomorrow 02.24.10, across from Falcon Heights in Guerrero, MX.  Authorities are on alert that those bringing violence could come across Zapata Lake, which sits on the border.

02.23.10  Moments ago, 10:30 PM Mountain Time, a source told me that the bridges between Laredo and Nuevo Laredo are full of people seeking REFUGE from the violence.  This was reported on KRGV-TV.

Just tonight I received an email report from Mexico of bodies on the ground in Reynosa and battles in Hidalgo.

As bad as the violence has been in Juarez (murder capital of the world), where we are told tens of thousands and maybe hundreds of thousands of people have fled the city (estimated 30,000 to El Paso), my source emphatically stated we haven’t seen anything yet.
Authorities expect an increase in violence will take place all along the southern border to Tijuana, Mexico.

WHY THE SUDDEN INCREASE IN BORDER VIOLENCE?

It has been reported that eight drug trafficking organizations in Mexico have united to form two groups in order to gain control of drug trafficking routes.:
1) The Sinaloa Cartel has aligned with La Familia Michoacana, what remains of the Milenio/Valencia Cartel, and a faction of the Tijuana Cartel.
2) The second block consists of the Beltran Leyva Organization, the Juarez Cartel, Los Zetas (Reports indicate that the Gulf Cartel and Los Zetas are splitting, with Los Zetas becoming an independent faction.) and the rest of the Tijuana Cartel.
Each of the new groups seeks to destroy the other and take over their routes.  Executions, extreme violence, and other means of instilling terror to win plazas/territories have resulted.

The states of Sinaloa, Coahuila, Chihuahua, Nuevo León and Tamaulipas are now under the control of the Juarez Cartel, the Beltran Leyva brothers, and the Gulf Cartel/Los Zetas.  These groups have started an all out war against the Sinaloa Cartel and their armed group, La Gente Nueva.

Along the northern border, El Chapo Guzman (Sinaloa Cartel) is said to have 4,000 hitmen operating.  He is fighting alone, because La Familia Michoacana and Los Valencia Cartel only operate in the southern and central portions of the country.

The Baja California region is a key point for the passage of drugs to the U.S.  The Tijuana Cartel originally took control of the area, specializing in contraband operations and arms trafficking.  Later, they moved into buying and selling drugs.  When senior leaders of the cartel were arrested or killed, two factions formed within the cartel.  In order to maintain control of strategic plazas, Fernando Sánchez Arellano aligned with the Beltran Leyva Brothers, Los Zetas and the Juarez Cartel against Teodoro García Simental, an ex-lieutenant in the organization who later aligned with the Sinaloa Cartel.  In the area along the border of Baja California 2,721 people are missing, the majority reported as kidnappings.
“The Mexican cartels are the most significant organized crime threat to the Western Hemisphere, without question,” reports Texas Dept. of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw.
A law enforcement principle that I have heard stated a number of times is “to protect the nation, we must push back our borders.”  I believe that, in order to protect the nation, we must spiritually push back our borders.  If we don’t pray to protect the people of Mexico, we will find ourselves in the same situation.

Lord, we ask you to sound a national alarm for the crisis on our southern border.  Call your intercessors to “the Colors” (flag).  Put us on high alert.  Show us how to stand with the Mexican people to quell the violence and lawlessness.  Raise up men and women who will make their voices heard to our lawmakers.  Give us leaders who will pay attention to this crisis.

AMERICA NEEDS AWAKENING

We are convinced that awakening/revival is imminent for America. We believe this awakening will begin with the youth and young adults and then spread to all. God is waiting on us to hear His strategies and begin to light the fires for this awakening around the nation.

REFORMATION IN OUR LIFETIME

Revival and spiritual awakening is not enough. We must reform the seven mountains of our society and culture (family, religion, government, business, education, arts and entertainment, media). In light of this, awakening, reformation, and generational synergy to accomplish a greater goal must be joined. God has asked us to marry them in a series of public gatherings. That plan is now clearly defined and in place.

Dear Pastors, City Leaders and Friends (of Austin),

I am encouraging you to join Christian leaders from Austin and other leaders from around the state in Houston, Texas for an important state-wide/nation-wide prayer meeting on behalf of the spiritual crisis our sister city, Houston is experiencing.  Lou Engle, The Call and BoundforLife will be hosting the meeting.

Four weeks ago in prayer time, the Lord showed me in a vision about the spiritual crisis Houston is in and the absolute importance of the Body of Christ coming behind the Church of Houston in their time of battle, struggle and weariness. The Lord told me that the Church of Austin has a responsibility, as a Revival City, to come behind our sister city in their time of great need. Bill Johnson tells us if we don’t give out what we have, it will die at our doorstep – I believe we must rise up in our time of strength and stand behind their leadership. I also believe, as Austin is the capital of our state, with the responsibility in the natural to make laws that effect our state, I believe we have the responsibility in the Spiritual realm to pray, intercede and decree His Kingdom ways/laws over Houston and the rest of our state (as more is given to us, more is required of us)! Here are some of the standing issues Houston is experiencing and those that will affect our state:

1. Planned Parenthood is building the 2nd largest abortion clinic in the world in Houston, Texas. This 6-story, 78,000 square foot abortion supercenter is a type of Auschwitz that has one floor (3rd floor) dedicated to do long-term abortions (it is an ambulatory surgical center which is licensed for these types of abortions). This building is being planted in the center of four minority neighborhoods. We are saying “We don’t want this death camp in our state, in our neighborhoods!” Planned Parenthood is targeting these minorities (Black and Hispanic communities)

2. Houston recently elected a Lesbian Mayor with a total of 150,000 voters going to the polls out of 2 million registered voters.

3. Houston, Texas is the #1 city in America for Human Trafficking of sex slaves.

Join Lou Engle, city leaders and pastors of Houston along with many others from around the state on January 17th from 6PM-10PM at Grace Community Church (14505 Gulf Freeway, Houston, Tx) for a time of prayer, fasting and declaration. On January, 18th (MLK Day), 9AM – they will gather by the thousands to launch a silent prayer march through the streets to the abortion “super center” for the nationwide press conference and prayer stand.

Mike & Cindy Jacobs of the United States Reformation Prayer Network have asked each of the states to join them in a national prayer initiative for 2010.  They are calling this initiative “ROOT 52″ because it is a 52-week prayer strategy to bring the nation back to it’s covenant roots.  A torch of prayer and fasting will go “en-route” from state-to-state in the sequence that they joined the Union and came to form the United States of America.  Texas’ week of prayer and fasting will be July 23-30.

Below are some excerpts from the communication we received from the USRPN.  As we approach our week of intercession, we will release more details for our state prayer initiative.  However, during the course of “Route 52″ please be praying for each of the states (schedule attached).

“ROOT 52″

USRPN National Prayer Strategy

We are calling this initiative “ROOT 52″ because it is a 52-week prayer strategy to bring the nation back to it’s covenantal roots.  A torch of prayer and fasting will go “en-route” from state-to-state in the sequence that they joined the Union and came to form the United States of America.

The strategy for ROOT 52 encompasses all 50 states standing together in covenant both to fast and pray in agreement during the first two weeks of 2010 for our national leadership and national governmental structure.  We will then move forward each week with individual states continuing to bow in repentance before God and taking up the torch of prayer and fasting until we complete 52 weeks, equaling 1 year. (50 states plus 2 weeks for government leadership).

The first week of the year begins corporately with all 50 states mobilized and joined together in prayer and fasting for our nation’s leadership in the White House:

President Barrack Obama and Vice President Biden, their wives and families, the Cabinet members, as well as the many Czars, as they are part of the whole (team).  (See attached list of White House Czars and list of Cabinet Members)

The second week we would continue to pray and fast corporately for the Judicial, Legislative and Executive branches of our government. (See attached list of Supreme Court Members)

During these first two weeks, we are to pray over and make decrees from the Preamble to the United States Constitution and the United States Constitution itself.  We also need to “declare” from the Declaration of Independence and pledge our nation to be “one nation under God”. As Chuck Pierce was shown by the Lord, some states have a covenant root of our founding fathers.  If there’s not one, the state will contend for one and war to pull down, tear down, and uproot, and seek the Lord to plant and to build a new structure spiritually in that state.  (See attached Prophetic Words on Covenant Roots by Chuck Pierce).

We also want to pray Jeremiah 1:10 that God will uproot and expose as well as build and plant. We need to pray that any terrorist funding, and jihadist plots be uncovered.

Pray for the complacency of the the church be broken. We need to pray for a Great Awakening and for Reformation to start in every state.

In Hebrew, the United States is translated Artzot Ha-Brit, which means “lands of covenant” (view source). If we will covenant together as the body of Christ, we have an opportunity to turn this battle at the gates.  As the United States of America, we’ve all heard the motto, “united we stand and divided we fall.”  We believe that as the call goes out and the praying church arises, uniting in heart and purpose, that we will stand strong.  As a result, we will see the walls of deception, seduction, lies and rhetoric come down like those of Jericho. Something needs to change and I we trust you agree.  We know the Lord is faithful and he has a plan for good and not for evil; to give us a hope and a future and an expected end.

We see a remnant arising.  There is a triumphant reserve.  There are those who recognize it is no longer “business as usual” and the grass roots movement is feeling the wind of resurrection blowing.  If we will take our place in repentance, bowing low before God in humility with fervent prayer and fasting, seeking God’s face and his heart towards our nation, we believe that united with God and one another, a nation can be shifted.

Vicki (California Coordinator) shared that the Lord recently spoke to her that Babylon and Egypt were both built with bricks but His building program is building with living stones. Apostle Dutch Sheets said that its time to altar a nation.  Elijah, led by the spirit of God, rebuilt the altar that had been torn down in the nation through the seduction, control, intimidation, lies and unrighteous political alignment with Jezebel–a covenant breaking spirit.  Even as Elijah used twelve stones to rebuild the altar of God, representing the 12 tribes, we too can stand on the principle that we have 50 stones/states as an offering to build and to re-altar this nation and turn it back to God.

Come bow with us.  Come war with us.  Help save the soul of our nation.
